Comments... and butterflies

Thank you Cinda for telling me that you could not leave a comment in my blog. I was getting extra sad.... waiting for a comment, any kind.... almost not caring if someone would write that I was the most boring person in the world. Never thought that my settings were wrong. Apparently the comments needed my approval... I have no idea how that works and I never saw anything that I should approve. I really feel bad if people though that I was rude. I'm not! I'm the happiest when I see the little number under my post. So - thank you if you were reading and taking time to leave comments and SORRY SORRY that they didn't show up...

Illustration Friday - Insect

I'm fascinated by insects and scared of most of them... I don't think that butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs count as "real" insects and I love using their images in my art. This is a mixed media 6" x 6" canvas. I just finished it today for the "illustration Friday".
"I follow the butterfly's cascading flight of
freedom toward the flossy green meadow where it
meets with another.

They flutter together playfully
as I marvel at the pure blue sky."

ZNE theme week - Crowns

This time I have three entries.... and all three have bids (much better than the last month when - sadly - my 4x4 didn't sell). Is this the right place to whisper that I made a spelling mistake in two of my cards? When did I notice it? When I finished scanning, taking photos, editing photos and uploading them to the internet... Very embarrassing, but as it seems that nobody is reading my blog :-( I can be honest and admit my mistake. I did correct the mistake before I listed them (but I'm sure that you can see where they were now that you know).

What else happened today? I was watching the Oscars... my husband recorded himself playing the guitar so he is in my iPod now and can gently play in my ear whenever I wish... Internet was down most of the day - that's extra frustrating... my daughter cooked with me - that was fun... So, that's it. I have big plans for tomorrow - to start going to the gym again and to make a journal in a new, fun format.

Inspire Me Thursday - Five Senses

"This week's challenge involves some sensory exploration: Can you use all five of your senses in your creative process?"

This was fun! Texture is easy... I love to mix different things in my work... but smell, taste, hear... I had to think about those.

See. - She's upside down...
Smell.
Hear.
Taste.
Touch.
I think I'll try my luck with "Five senses" on eBay. I wrote about "Inspire me Thursday" in my auction. Too bad we are not allowed to put links in our auctions. I'll have to change my "about me" page to include the link.

Collage Wandering

This was one of those rare days when you find a beautiful surprise in the mail. Tony Watson creates “collage wanderings” and I was the lucky receiver of one of them. I love both sides so I had to post both pictures (unfortunately the scans don’t do them justice).

Thank you so much! I'll think of you whenever I look at it.

Inspire Me Thursday - Self Portrait

I wanted to sleep through this challenge... or run from it... but decided to be brave and give it a try.
