Workshop - day 1

In Judy Wise's class we explored plaster, texture, encaustics, transfers... all mixed together. I loved it! This is what I finished:
Painting on plaster
The play of texture and color is incredible. So many things you could do... So hard to decide...
Painting on plaster - detail
This part was created with a blow torch! So much fun! And a bit scary...

Imagine the possibilities...

  1. This is absolutely incredible. I love encuastics and this piece is just awesome!

  2. I'm delighted to see these pieces. I was wishing you had them with you the day we got together. I loved you Faces album tho.

  3. I a m glad you came back to the blogosphere and I can
t believe you were going to quit art! You are amazing! I hear you met my good friend Lis O isn't she awesome!

  4. Soooo beautiful Zorana! Love the colours and the texture especially with the wax (and the blowtorch). I am doing a three day workshop in March next year with Judy Wise and am looking forward to it more than ever now!!!

  5. I saw this piece on flickr and loved it.

  6. As soon as I read you had done a workshop with Judy Wise I thought of Jacky! And smiled when I read her comment above.
The colors look so beautiful Zorana and the textures - I want to reach through my screen and touch this work of art. So many details to look at.
And I love what you have created in Katies class too. Bold and beautiful and full of color. I can tell you had fun creating in this class!
