Hello! How are you?
It seems that I took an unexpected blog break...
I think I lost my blogging voice... For a while wondered what would be a good "come back" post. Since nothing came to mind, I decided to just jump back into it "with a light heart".
I recorded a video, I think my first one in over a year. It shows me playing with my portfolio pastels and white paint on watercolor paper.
This is my 17th video and the first one that has a 'dislike' on youtube. Yikes...

i like it very much....it reminds me of the faces you did some time back on rosin paper....because of those posts i went out and bought myself a roll and use it in so many ways in my art and studio.....thank you and keep the art coming....i need the inspiration..... ;-)

I think many of us have found ourselves taking an unexpected Blog break recently! Good to see you back. The videos great, I expect the 'dislike' person was a child or grumpy teenager. Mine left a slightly negative message on the visitors book in our holiday aprartment that needed adjusting! :)

Hi...I really enjoyed the video...thanks for doing it. I was curious as to what black pen or marker you used for the black lines I saw you drawing? That's always a problem to find something that will mark over oil pastels. I will check back to see the paintings you mentioned :) Have a great weekend!

I'm happy you're back. You may have lost your blogging voice for a bit of time but you haven't lost your painting voice. This piece is so expressive. And I can't imagine why you have a "dislike" on your video. Maybe someone was in a grumpy mood when they watched it!
