My mom is finally here! Will it mean more or less artwork from me in the next 6 weeks I don't know, but I'm looking forward to spend as much time with her as I can. :-)

Tried a new technique!!!!!

I painted roses on a canvas... It has a very textured background and it called for something to be added... so, I thought that it would be a perfect opportunity to finally try the "Peeling paint" technique from Caudine Helmuth's book "Collage Discovery Workshop".
That was so scary!!! I love the results....

Just as the name says - peeling paint! I'll play with it again soon.

Surprise for my sister

My sister said she liked this little art squared piece I recently made, but remarked that she would love to have it on the wall and not in some album. So I created a similar one on an 8" x 8" canvas. There are some positive words, skeleton leaves, flowers... going through the blue/purple metallic hair. Why not? Like the crazy color wasn't enough...

I think that my sister doesn't read my blog... and she better not because this is a surprise.

Wish Birds

This is the time when we all have wishes for ourselves and for others, so I painted/collaged some wish birds. These are ACEO/ATC-s (2.5" x 3.5").

That's kind of the way I feel about it... but I pretend to be excited and try not to ruin the fun for others. As for the next quote... last year I started some habits that made me happier. I hope to build on them this year, and all the following years.
