Oh what a beautiful morning,
Oh what a beautiful day,
I've got a wonderful feeling,
Everything's going my way.
My Mom used to sing this song every morning. That was her cheerful way of waking me and my sister up for school. I remember putting the pillow over my head, trying to block it out...completely disliking the song and not thinking kind thoughts about my Mom. Of course, as things go, you get older and start to appreciate many things, even the ones that annoyed you when you were a teenager. This song is in my head many mornings, sometimes I even hum it silently... and I think it sets up the mood for the day.
Oh what a beautiful day,
I've got a wonderful feeling,
Everything's going my way.
Wow, this finished page looks amazing. I love what you have done with it and love the reference to your mum waking you up in the mornings.

This turned out great! what a happy way to start the day! My mom used to sing "The red red robin comes bob bob bobbing along.. Wake up! Wake up! You sleepy head! Cheer up! Cheer UP! the sun is read Get out get out of bed.... etc. I'll have to create something from that :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the first time I ever heard of a mother singing to wake up her children in the morning. You have a very special mom, my girl. what a nice thought you have to cary around with you the rest of your life. I can't even sing in the shower, it's so bad. Elaine Cooke

ReplyDeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteGreat page! That song is from Oklahoma. Everyday at 5:00 here in OK, they play the song Oklahoma. And on Friday's they play it twice. Once from the musical and once by the OU marching band.
We sang the REd red robin song in 6th grade chorus.

Hi Zorana,
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful rose work and how it all finished up...You have truly inspired me to make a proper journal...I had started on but, I started to fill the pages too quickly with anything to get something done - now I am going to rip them out and start again...with words and images that are truly meaningful to me...
Thanks xxxx
