I'm all over the place this week.... a million things on my mind, so I can't really concentrate on anything. The best way I found to deal with it today?
Phonebook faces drawn repeatedly on many, many pages with your non-dominant hand à la Katie Kendrick. It felt so good to not really think, and just go through the movements of making marks. These are now in my journal and will probably be altered in the future, but for now - they were like medicine.
And just for fun - a little watercolor guy saying "HI".
How come when I just make marks it looks so much worse. Oh, that's right, you're an artist and I'm not.
ReplyDeleteI agree the words of Mark (above), You are a very great artist and I want to have a little one of your talent. I can look at hese faces for a long time and also your bird. Wonderful Zorana.
ReplyDeleteLovely greet

ReplyDeleteYou're writing is such a good prescription and Iplan to start it in a few minutes, maybe 10 days willhelp with my fluttering mind.
ReplyDeleteWonderful work, so good and fun.
What a wonderful idea to paint on telephone book pages ~ it must be tough with how thin the paper is but the outcome is delightfully creative!

Your phone book page faces look beautiful! I love doing the non-dominant hand drawings, too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a brilliant idea to use an old phone book for your paintings. I love the faces you've done. And that little sparrow - gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI need to do this when I next feel at 'sixies and sevens'. That happens too often these days! Love your little watercolour guy! ;o)

Zorana I adore your little watercolour bird!!! Sweet!
ReplyDeleteGreat drawings with your non-dominant hand too. I like playing around with that too. Also writing with my non dominant hand...I get a bit uptight about neatness when writing (from school days) so find it really relaxing and love the arty quality of it.
Had a lovely weekend...caught up with our friend Dot today for a day of fabric sharing, food and shopping!

I have a non-dominant hand lesson coming up in the book I'm going through....yours just blew me away!! WoW!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who cannot draw a stick figure I am amazed at how you can paint with your non-dominant hand. Your paintings are beautifully expressive. Love the bird too. Dot xx
