I Choose to be Happy

I haven't seen sunshine in a week and it was really starting to change my mood dramatically, so I had to make a conscious decision to be happy. What better way to do it then with a brush in your hand. I recorded the whole process, sped it up and posted on youtube. If you are afraid of painting freely - this might give you a nudge in the right direction. I hope you'll like it.

Here is the final painting (9x11").

  1. So glad to see your latest post. It had been awhile and I missed your wonderful art. Did you hear me go,"Aauuggrrhh" when you painted over the first face.....then "AAAAUUUGGGRRRHHH" when you painted ouver the 2nd. The last one is interesting, but I hated to see the first two obliterated.

Thanks for sharing your creativity on video! And thanks for encouraging us to "loosen up". It is SO hard for me to do!

  3. Damn, I want those first two faces back.. I loved how they look. Well I do love the finished piece, but hose faces.. :)
    Nice to se you painting.
It's funny how weather changes everything. It's been really hot and sunny where I live for more than a week. I'm soooo happy for yesterday'y rain and lower temperatures. I can live now, move without sweating all the time. Maybe I could even paint :) When I find my paints :)

  11. Lack of sun always gets me down, too. We finally had sun yesterday after a week of rain and I was so happy to see it. Loved watching you work in the video. I'm curious, did you cover the faces because you weren't happy with them or just because your vision of what you wanted suddenly changed?
