I miss it....

Can you guess what am I missing?
Coffee..... I miss my morning coffee. I stopped drinking coffee a month ago, and most of the days I don't even think about it. Today, for some reason, I couldn't stop... so I painted it in my journal.
I stopped because I was adding more and more of the fake creamer things (Belgian Chocolate Toffee was a favorite).... and then I read the ingredient list and was horrified. Definitely not something that I would like to consume every day. So I stopped drinking coffee altogether. All or nothing... sigh....
How about you? Do you drink coffee?

  1. Love this! And yes, I have to have coffee in the morning, I drink it black, nog sugar, no milk and a little strong. I use coffee pads (mocca). Do you have coffee pads in the US too?

  2. I drink WAY too much of the stuff! What differences have you noticed in how you feel?
I like creamer too......and don't know what's in it? Maybe I don't want to but I should. May have to google!

    Beautiful painting!! Love the colors!

  3. My coffee in the morning is like a glass of wine to other people at night. I only drink it in the morning, and I grind it (Peets coffee--the best!) fresh. I completely enjoy it--I don't think I could give it up!!

  4. Amazingly Diane and I have exactly the same routine - fresh ground Peets beans, a couple of cups early in the morning and that's it.

Black Coffee. Ever hear that song sung by Sarah Vaughn? Old jazz/blues.

  7. How about drinking coffee with milk? I know the creamers have lots of sugar. You could try Truvia-a natural sugar but with few calories. I treat myself to the fancy creamers about once a week--they do taste good. But you don't have to give up coffee, just because of the creamer. I love your new painting.

  8. one thing I could never give up is my coffee. I now buy some organic beans from a local shop, and only put milk in it. For years I used sugar and creme, before cutting both out. The coffee sweetener has crap in it, definitely avoid.
You'd be surprised how delicious a cup of coffee is once you cut out all the sugary fake creamers.

You got a lovely journal page out of it though, lol!

  9. No coffee or fake creamers for me. If I have something it will be a cup of "fake" coffee (grain beverage) with half and half. I don't do it often but once in awhile it tastes great. Those fake creamers are made with horrible junk!

  11. I stopped adding anything to my coffee long time ago, for that same reason. But I only like to drink it in the winter, so it's only decaf with milk for me. I don't drink sodas either, rarely. Just don't plan to give up chocolate! ;o)
    Beautiful painting!
