I wanted to see how the pan pastels look over shaded pencil areas.
But then I liked the pencil so much that I decided not to color them at all.
So, I turned the page in my journal and started another one. It's as simple as that.
And, you guessed it, another one.
More to come..... I just can't stop.
So good to see you exploring. :) Great faces!

ReplyDeleteIt is fun to try out things isn't it? I like pencil or pen and ink drawings a lot. Yours are great.

The eraser seems to interact with the pan pastels very nicely. I like the pencil works, too~
ReplyDeleteTheir expressions are so interesting...there's a story in every one.
Keep going; we're enjoying!

I love that you show your process.
ReplyDeleteYour serious faces (I even love that you call them that) somehow they remind me of Russians. Hard times. But not without the glimmer of hope that you give them.
I think you've found your next series!
xo
PS: the picture your husband took shows he loves you very much.
Admiring your new work. I too fall in love with the pencil work I've done and resist covering it with color. Black and white needs some love too! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm putting some crackle on my painting today!
