Trying to relax

I took a full week off work to try and center myself and rest. And I'm feeling so guilty for doing it... it's ridicules. Plus - I'm already counting how many days have passed and how many I have left.... I'm not sure that I will be able to really, completely relax. I'm trying. I did some fun things - sketched a little.
I said thank you to our lemon tree for providing us with such amazing fruit.
Some of our lemons are bigger than grapefruit (as you can see on the picture).
I made molten lava chocolate cakes for the first time. Hana loved them.
I resisted the temptation and didn't try :-)
I finished a project that was started a month ago.
Recently Magickal Meliss asked me and a group of other artists some cool questions. I enjoyed reading all of the interviews and think that you will too. If you're interested in what I said - you can read it here.

  1. Zorana,

Tell us more about that project. The art seems to be all different sizes, is this for a show or something?

I see my favorite painting there! Are those magic books? What an amazing collection!

I know what you mean about trying to relax.. I am that way too. I think about what it would mean to personally relax...and that it would be different to me than to someone else..and I carry on. I hope you find peace this week.

  4. Enjoy your time at home, you shouldn't feel guilty. You probably need it, otherwise you didn't take time of. Sometimes we need time for our own, at least I do. I can't function if I don't have time for my own. Love what you made!

  5. Zorana, It's a good thing to you give yourself a break and step away from paintings. When you come back, you'll feel more energy and you'll make it up. I know what you mean by guilt..I go through that a lot..but taking a break means..recharging!
The art is fantastic and so is the interview!!

  7. What are these wonderful sewn images??? I Adore them!!! Journals, did you transfer your paintings to fabric??? I Love the Birdies!!!
Don't feel guilty about work, an artist like you should live on the Sienne in France & do nothing but paint, your employers are lucky...lol

Your sketches are beautiful. They are searching and original.
    And your journal covers!~
