I was painting in my journal yesterday.
These words just jumped on the page (Rumi).
You know how pages in a Moleskine journal are sturdy and can tolerate a lot of art abuse? I found what they don't like... concentrated watercolor and ink go right through them. See - this is the other side of my page. I don't mind it - it's an interesting start to who knows what, but think it's good to know what happens in case you want to avoid it.
moving...so moving.
ReplyDeletenot to worry, my Moleskin is still all white. I think I might be able to attack it now since I have spent over two months doing nothing but journals.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonder piece and I can see that you "just did what felt good" and then those words showed up.
Beautiful journal & great words. Hope you don't mind my popping in here (through Angela's blog).
ReplyDeleteI need to get my Moleskine out and get cracking....after the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI'm like you..I like when a new page starts without me, it's a challenge.
I found that with my moleskin journal too. I have put text on the back of those pages and then gessoed over and they are ready for the next messy project I start (that wonderful tip came from Sarah Whitmire from one of her free journalling classes last year. http://www.sarahwhitmire.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteLoving your beautiful birds Zorana and those wonderful textured backgrounds.
