Yesterday morning I sneaked of the house (while everyone was sleeping) to steal the energy of the beach in between storms. I enjoyed the wind, the power of the waves, the stillness of birds... And while I love being alone, I couldn't help but think how wonderful it would be to have a friend to share moments like this. My dh is the best, and there is nothing better than sharing any moment in life with him, but it would be nice to have a girl friend... it's different (I think).
I returned home and played in my journal... obviously thinking about the same subject. Then the postman came and brought me a treasure from this friend.... and the internet worked for a short half hour and I received emails from this and this friend.... and comments from other friends. Big hugs to you all! I wish you lived closer... It would be nice to meet.
Yes, and we could put on our fun hats and go and walk on the beach. And we would talk about to neatest things. About life and living and art and painting and flowers. Yes we would talk about flowers and how we love to glue them down on our canvas and journal pages. We would talk about purple flowers and orange poppies and pretty girls in gardens. Yes we would....walk and talk........

I feel the same way at times. I have friends but none of them live close by. I miss having someone to just sit with a cup of tea and chat, or to walk in the park (or along the beach)....your painting is perfect for this feeling. You are so good at capturing emotions.
ReplyDeleteI've been away from "home" for almost 9 years...I thought I would be loaded with friends when I got back here, but things have changed. I have grown, they have grown. Apart? I guess. Maybe more time.. Agendas are different now.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to have friends of like minds...I wish for that also...I have many wonderful friends, however, most of them are on a different wave length than I am...I am the artist and that tends to amuse and sometimes amaze them.
ReplyDeleteI am again blown away by your art...they are wonderful...I love their hats.
Hmmmm!!!you were walking on the beach...I live 20 minutes from one beach and 45 minutes from another.
i love this painting...oh i feel very connected to you...even tho we are on different coasts...i was on the beach at the same time...our lives seem to be intertwined...i am always here for you for girl talk if you need me...hugs, rebecca
ReplyDeleteI love this latest painting and the sentiments exactly. It would be great to me magically at a friend's far away home and walk the beach and talk and share and so on. Unfortunetly for now we all have our virtual visits. I sure wish I had a beach to walk on. I have to settle for a river and Mountains which are pretty nice themselves but the beach has such a different feel about it.

Really love everythings about this new page - the colours, and their crowns in particular. We all need friends who get the painting thing.....if you're ever in Scotland.....
ReplyDeleteoh how i wish we lived closer!! i would have loved to walk with you - we're both early risers - and we both respond to the nature's energy :o)
ReplyDeletedeep blessings, dear zorana xxx
Like you, I have the DH to share with, and it's wonderful, but I do wish for a girlfriend to share with. I have friends, but they are far away.
ReplyDeleteI love your painting. The girls look so happy and their hats are adorable. It's a great background you've created for them, too.
Here's wishing you a creative and happy New Year.
